The Tracy Anderson Method employs a number of unique techniques, exercises, and equipment in order to hone the body shape and muscle tone of any person in any shape. In order to do so, the techniques employed primarily work the accessory group muscles rather than very specific groups of muscles. This helps to trim down the entire body and give a lean, and well toned look for men and women.
Another unique utilizes at the Tracy Anderson Studio is the fact that exercise regimes are changed regularly in order that the body does not become accustomed to performing certain actions. Once this happens, the body begins to resist the work put in and you begin to get decreased returns for your efforts – muscle toning and body shaping will reduce more and more as your body becomes increasingly accustomed to a specific exercise or group of exercises.
A specific workout regime is planned for each client, in order to provide a full body workout, but concentrating on any problem areas that exist. This combination of working on the accessory muscles, frequently changing exercises, and working on problem areas of the body ensures the greatest possible gain in the shortest time.

Tracy Anderson, a former dancer turned fitness instructor, has developed the Tracy Anderson Method to help tone bodies and get men and women in great shape. By concentrating on the accessory muscles around the body, rather than targeting a single group of muscles, her innovative method helps to produce toned and sleek looking bodies.
The Tracy Anderson Studio, located in LA, uses the patented Hybrid Body Reformer along with over 2,800 calculated and choreographed moves in order to continually challenge and effectively build muscles. Tracy tailors a workout plan to perfectly match the needs of the individual and regularly changes exercises so that the body does not become accustomed to a specific routine.
The Tracy Anderson Method has been proven through seven years of rigorous testing and development. The creation of the unique Hybrid Body Reformer and an extensive catalog of training exercises helps to ensure that the method works with people with any existing body shape, giving women the tightly toned body of a dancer and men the body of an athlete.

When Tracy Anderson moved to NYC at age 18 to be a dancer, she gained a large amount of weight. In order to have a career, she had to lose those extra pounds. She tried numerous exercise regimens, but they all failed. She decided to create her own workout methods, which led to a total transformation of her body.
Tracy as taken her remarkable, life changing methods and began her own studio. She has designed the Hybrid Body Reformer, which has an infinite moving pulley system that allows the muscles to be worked on from a variety of angles. On this machine, Tracy has choreographed over 2,800 moves that elongate your muscles by imitating dance moves. This unique machine can only be found at Tracy Anderson’s studio in Los Angeles. She hopes to open other studios in the future.
Tracy feels most programs overwork major muscle groups, which builds muscle bulk. She transforms the body by targeting accessory muscles (small muscle groups). This is what gives women a tiny dancer body and men a skinny ripped body. With this method, which has been tested for over seven years, Tracy can take any person with any genetic background and completely transform their body to be thin, long, and lean.
Because each body is different, Tracy customizes workouts for each client. This allows Tracy to help the clients work on their own problem areas. Changing the workout ensures the muscles are hit from different angles so you don’t overuse the same muscle groups.
Tracy’s Dance Aerobics DVD is available exclusively on her website. It is a cardio-dance workout that can help you achieve the body of your dreams. There are 2 hours of in-depth instructionals and 45 minutes of heart pumping dance fun.
